I do not know the seller - not trying to drum up bids.

There is a Swan with a split lever on ebay right now. It appears to have the early solid metal lever I have posted about before, rather than the typical U shaped formed lever.

It is a solid split lever and I think it is made from two different types of metal.  The smaller lever appears to be copper or copper alloy judging by the corrosion while the compostion of the larger part is unknown.

The rest of the pen is in good shape.  It's a Swan SF 5 with a rigid No. 5 nib.  The cap has three breather holes, one in the top and two more spaced 180 degrees apart a little more than halfway from the cap lip to the top.  All three are blocked by the inner cap so they appear to have no function.  Perhaps this is a holdover from production in the pre-inner cap days.

$52!  What's the matter with me?  I should have loved that pen - rigid nib or not!

I never figured it would have been a #5.  Assumed it would be  more typical #2.  And I just didn't need another one.....
