Pif Various Unused Pens [Uk]

Recommended Posts

Over the years I've purchased a range of cheap pens (mainly from China, although other various ebay purchases) that I no longer have any use for.

I've made the decision to give these away. Some of these pens are unused, others have been used and forgotten about (so they might need a serious amount of rescuing.

First come first serve for each pen. Although only one pen per forum membet (i'd like these to go to a range of homes). Happy to post anywhere, although would like postage covered.

Nobody's answered! I hope someone answered you by PM! Anyway, if it's still around, that one at the top looks quite nice, and if you've still got any others and you want rid of them, I wouldn't mind any you can spare for giveaways to students interested in English, especially cursive writing.

I am surprised these have not been snatched up yet!

The top one is indeed around (I've only had one person interested in either 4/5). If you're in the UK then please PM me your address and I'll post free of charge. If you're elsewhere then it would be nice to have postage covered.

Just going to bump this, as I've still not had anyone claim any pens.

I just don't want them to chuck them in the bin...

I would be interested in pens 6 and 10, sir. If they are still available. I'm in Canada and have no issues with paying for postage. I'm still on my first pen, so this will double my collection.

I must say it's quite kind of you to make this offer.

Cheers

I would be honored to give a home to 8, 9 or 10 if any of them are available. I'm in Canada and have no qualms about paying for the postage.

Hi all,

Apparently my email address on this site is a very old email that I don't check, and I've completely missed that people have replied to this thread.

Those that have PM'd me, I've now gone through and replied to your messages. If I've missed anyone, then please resend. I've changed my email address, so I'll now be told!

Qotg - Number 2 is still available. Please PM me your address.

Goingbuddha - 8,9,10 are all available. Pleas send me with one you'd like the most, and I'll work out postage. I imagine that it would be around the £3 to £4 mark depending on weight, I'm away currently, and won't be able to weigh them until 8th January.

Arkanabar - Number 5 is still available. Please PM me your address. I imagine that this pen would cost £3-£4 to post, but I'll weigh them on my return from holiday.

For those still interested:

Pen 1 - Claimed (MercianScribe)

Pen 2 - Claimed (Qotg)

Pen 3 - Available

Pen 4 - Claimed (Kilraughts)

Pen 5 - Claimed (Arkanabar)

Pen 6 - Available

Pen 7 - Available

Pen 8 - Available

Pen 9 - Available

Pen 10 - Available

Many thanks,

Lucas

Hello Lucas,

I would be very interested in one of these. Not fussy. And honestly, can't decide. You pick. I have very small hands and like a finer nib, if that helps.

I'm in the US and have no issues covering postage.

Thanks!

Could I have pen 10, it looks cool, I live in the UK!

Certainly, drop me your address and I'll get it in the post as soon as I can.

I'd vote for pen 3, as I find them fairly fine and nice to write with. Send me your address in a private message and I'll let you know postage.

What size nibs are they? Im trying to expand my experiences. Im assuming pen 8 is the black one? and the picture of the white one is 7? That one looks cool, but truly Im not picky in whatever way. I just love trying new pens.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
