It was sort of cool. I had some TR paper that I used for creating my own font. I had kept it, and then thought, I should get rid of it, and then at the last minute I asked if anyone wanted it. So, yes it cost me money to send it around the world, but now someone is getting to use something that had no value to me, but they will enjoy.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Im really enjoying some ink samples I got through the generosity of this board. I am trying to scale back my pens/inks/stationery and hope to post something else soon.

Anyone else cleaning up a bit and ready to pay something forward??

Once again, the generosity of FPN members has been very clear to me over the past few months. And over the past few days while I have been sick (and hanging out on this site too much and more than usual), that generosity has cheered me up.

So ... bump. I hope that the PIFs stay thriving.

PIFs rock. I've been in the process of unpacking and organizing etc since moving. But I think I had one more Petrol to PIF so I'll post it in the next month or so.

There is a PIF table at the Colorado Pen Show this weekend. I don't think I'd seen a set-up like that before. It was really cool--offering starter sets (pen, ink samples, paper, and a box) for FP newbies, along with random donations from show-goers that others could take.

I dropped off a couple pens, some paper, and ink.

I picked up a beginner's pen for someone who expressed interest to me recently. I also found an ink sample of a particular color I had been looking for.

It was a really cool experience. I'm sharing it here because I really do think that paying it forward works, whether it is done in person or via the internet. :) There have been some *amazingly generous* posts made on the FPN recently, which I think is super cool to see.

Material giving is but one way of giving. FPN is full of kind people giving advice, encouragement, ideas, support, and experience. These too, in my view,  are "paying it forward."
