Thank you for your excellent review of this ink.

 

The color of this ink would have prevented my purchase, except my introduction was a swab that showed the ink "pooled" with it's ever present sheen. I was sold & really didn't believe it possible. Yet upon receipt, I found it to be true. The sheen is so powerful it makes me forgive the color of the ink; I can only imagine what a fan of the "Blue Greens" would feel when using this ink!

 

A winner from Organics Studio, for sure.

As just such a fan of blue-greens and lover of green-blacks, I have ordered two bottles which should arrive shortly!

Thanks for the review! How wet does the pen need to be in order to get the sheen? Would I be able to get it with a TWSBI, for instance?

This ink sheens with no effort, you don't need a high flow pen for it. It's the high concentration that does it.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
