WOW!

As always I remain fascinated by your artistry in these commissioned works; the Conway Stewart acrylics "never looked better." Thank you for sharing these with us.

Do you mind if I add the small Bard you made for me? I've been in love with it since it arrived!

It's such a magical pen. I've paired it with Nemosine Snowball Nebula Twinkle and it's a perfect match!

You are doing beautiful work.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

It's always good to see Renee's work and to remember with great delight the pens she made for me that sit on my desk daily waiting to be used! And what joy when I do use these pens! Thank you, Renee, for your considerable gifts.

It was a true pleasure to make your Magnificent Seven, and an even greater pleasure to know you are still using them every day! Thank you, Danny!

Hi Renée,

What a wonderful selection of fountain pens! There will be some happy customers receiving those, for sure! I am not sure I have a favourite... Just love the look of them all. :) :yikes:

I know the wait can be excruciating at times. I'm a big lover of custom pens -- I've own pens by Romillo, Newton, Hakase, Eboya, Nakaya, Edison/Hakumin, and Scriptorium, among other custom or handmade pens. All have required multi-month waits that sometimes exceeded a full year. I could certainly do without a lengthy wait but there's something really special about getting to choose your design, material, nib and have an artisan bring it to reality -- receiving a pen that was singularly made just for you. If something is really calling out to you, I think you would be remiss to pass on it solely because of the wait time.

I agree with you rpsyed. :)

I consider the wait to reflect popularity and quality of workmanship. I ordered and waited for one of the Scriptorium pens. It was made to my exact specifications and liking. The pen has been inked since the day I received it. I am so pleased I placed the order, it gave something special to look forward to. The waiting time passes by, so quickly.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
