Can You Help Me Identify This Mont Blanc?

Hello Everyone,

First I have to admit. I am not necessarily a Pen Enthusiast however I am needing some help identifying this pen. I've scoured the internet and I can't find this model.

It was my Dad's who recently passed away from Cancer.

It appears to be from 2006 as it has the 100 year anniversary marker towards the top of the cap and has the Mont Blanc Diamond.

I can't quite place the material on the body of the barrel and honestly I am having a hard time determining if I should call it yellow or green.

Does anyone recognize this pen?

Thank you all in Advance.

The model is the starwalker. I have never seen that resin in a MB. The box and paper box looks a MB original product, not so sure about the pen.

Can you show us the picture of the nib?

The star does not seems to be from a real Mont Blanc star walker

The 100th edition had a diamond. That looks to be correct, but resin of the pen looks odd.

I don't like to jump to conclusions and am in no way was familiar with all MB products as others on here.

However, my first impression is that pen is not a genuine Mont Blanc. It has a number of design features of the Starwalker 100 year anniversary special edition. However, I am not aware of any that feature the celluloid yellow body that your pen has.

I hope to be proved wrong be more knowledgeable members of this forum.

Sorry, EZdoesit, but this pen is not made by Montblanc. It's one of many Starwalker fake pens made in China.

~ Such pens abound in certain narrow ‘shopping alleys’ here.

Often the color and design is a giveaway, as genuine Montblanc products are more refined in appearance.

That's not invariably the case, but when a purported Montblanc pen has a less-than-elegant look, it's often a local fake.

Sigh...

Here is the nib. It's quite a heavy pen and the ink refill cartrdige appears to be genuine but the fact I could not find anything about it on the internet made me wonder as well. I don't think my Dad would have had a special edition pen or anything. I can imagine him having a $100 pen but not anything getting into car payment territory.

Sorry for your loss.

It doesn't look like any of the recognisable models, so that's a bit suspect?

In this instance, it has sentimental value. I'd keep it and use it, if I were you.

Condolences.

I appreciate all the responses. All the info helps a lot. As was mentioned since I couldn't find any supporting images I will assume it's a fake.

Thanks again all for shedding some light!

Have a great week!

it looks like a replica of the MB Starwalker Soulmakers for 100 years anniversary edition. But that issuance was only in black.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
