Well, I've just finished a chat with Amazon outlining all the red flags, but the rep thinks everything is fine and assured me my order is covered for full refund under the AZ guarantee. I guess a £10 fraud is nothing to a behemoth like Amazon to swallow.

Where do we stand on the credit card lotto numbers? Any takers?

ok listen while you're here, take advantage of my LOW LOW PRICE introductory offer.

Basically, I take numbers from your credit card to MATHEMATICALLY and SCIENTIFICALLY work out winning lotto numbers! Please write them out below.

I am not falling for that one the 5th time !!!

This is the exact same scam Wasiki was posting about the other day.

A new seller pops up, scrapes someone else's inventory and relists everything for the exact same price.

Anyone know the bigger picture here? There has to be an angle they're after.

I'm going to wait for this eagerly, we all know that the chance of this being true is 1:1000000, and one in a million chances happen 9 times out of 10, right? ;)

Or maybe it's Amazon themselves temporarily 'borrowing' from us?

It could be real while Ford is caught in the Infinite Improbability Drive

Man, it's been a whilke since I read the books. Is that the one with a black button, surrounded in black?

I ordered for the fun for about 1500£ worth of pens.

Then i contacted amazon.co.uk services on the phone. The first guy whom i talked to thought everything was fine, till i told him the real price of a new Pelikan Toledo amongst others, is no way 10£ not even 500.

Then i had another person on the phone, and from what i could understand all this is a big fraud attempt. Therefore i asked them to cancel my numerous orders ( 20 pelikan M1000s, 10 Pilot 823, etc...).

I knew it from the start, but i had a nice dream for 10 minutes.

Haha.

Yep, them's the ship controls - labeled in black on a black background, a little black light lights up in black to let you know you’ve done it

I've seen sellers like this before, and I've read the other threads. They just don't dispatch.  :(

It's okay Chrissy you just have to wire them the monies directly. I also took advantage of their offer to move monies from my vault to a communal fault for steam cleaning.

:D I've seen those sellers too.

If you all get the pens that you ordered, then that will be great news. :)

Pens have been sent by carrier 4PX and a tracking number has been given. This is a China based company.

Well my vault is now nicely steam cleaned, but unfortunately there is a delay filling it back up, as the monies now need to be pressed and steamed. NOT IMPRESSED Monies Removal Plc. :gaah:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
