Unless the top thingy is made of titanium, the pen will be overly top heavy. No idea what they did to the barrel. What's that band?

 

I've seen a small number of 'customized' Japanese pens. Almost all seemed so unique that only the person who customized the pen might find it usable. I know I have one somewhere.

The explanation is, that you can adjust it to your liking using a small wrench.

It also seems according to the description that there is a copper counterweight on the barrel - the "red" part?
