Hi All:

 

I just signed myself and my husband up for the London Pellikan Hub. I have never been to one of these and I know there's not a lot of details out there about these. If anyone has been before, can you share your experiences? Also, I do not own a Pellikan pen. Is that ok?

I've been to two of these hubs. The're friendly gatherings of people who love pens - Pelikan pens! There were a fair few pens from other manufacturers being shown round, though as I said the majority of pen talk was about Pelikan pens and Pelikan inks.

Seems like we are getting closer to the pellikan hub date. Does anyone know how far ahead of the day they send out event details (like the venue)?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
