Violette Pensee is one of my favorite inks! It dries quickly, too and for me (impatient) that's a good thing!

I like that green colour. Does it need a really wet pen to come out that dark?

Jumping on the J. Herbin bandwagon, this is their Cacao du Bresil.

This ink is very dependant on pen and paper to achieve its beguiling colour . . . and quite difficult to capture it on camera.

It's not normally this "brown" but the Cass Art Watercolour paper makes it so.

Wow. In my next life, I want to be able to draw like you! (It's clearly not happening in this one. ;) )

Don't be silly. It's lines on paper, practice, and not being afraid to fail.

You guys have all given me the space and confidence to post my sketches. Never a bad word said. I feel I can show anything I sketch without feeling "unworthy" or "not good enough"

FPN is just such a lovely place to be. Thank you all so much. :)

Tas, I'm amazed at how good this drawing is.

Also amazed when you said what the ink was -- on my screen it looks more grey (although a warm grey) than brown.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
