Quite a rare pen,but in poor condition.

The clip was broken and welded back in place.......But it`s still my favourite collection.

Unfortunately it`s got some rust points on the barrel.

So...how can I remove them? Does Simichrome Polish help?

Well, drat, no pictures uploaded.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oops,but......I can see them all........

They are in your cache so you see them. None of us see them. We see a place filler that points to a forum and the broken image symbol. If we right click and show image we can see things.

It looks more like brassing than rust in the pictures, places where the gold layer has worn through.

There are only several points of rust on barrel.

The pen is well worn but for its price(about US$100), it`s not a bad deal. :D

It's not rust since the pen is most likely gold plated brass. That's why jar mentioned "brassing".

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
