How saturated is this ink? Slightly hard to tell from those photos, they're a bit dark for me. I think I see some shading there, though?
I've been using Monteverde Documental Black ink for a while now, initially I was a bit let down by the color (it's really not black at all, more like graphite) but I soon started to like it a lot. Very water-resistant, doesn't show any signs of fading after two months in the sun, flows very nicely, writes super smooth... One of my favorite inks for sure!
Yes, despite the use of a flash;everything
is hard to tell in my photography... I'm a student of the "black & what" school.
This ink will give you some shading, (which I like); it's not super-saturated, (like Noodlers inks),... but it won't clog up your pens, either. It's also not difficult to flush out.
I've never used their black version, so I can't really comment on that; except to say that the general performance characteristics that you enjoy in the black version can also be found here in the blue one**.
Hope this helps; if you have any other questions, please lmk.
**: No comments on fade; I never tested for it.
