Would it be possible to get a pen threaded for Jowo nibs instead?

It is only for Bock nib. You can get it threaded for bock also.

Form submitted!

One important point, though - although it's very interesting to be able to see what others have ordered via the Googledoc, I'm not sure you should be making people's addresses and phone numbers available .....

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

I have submitted the google form: Bamboo, solid forest green, chrome fine nib.

Sorry but I do not understand how can I pay?

Another format needs to be found for these group buys if it's not possible for private information to be kept private on google docs (or whatever the correct name is for the format used).

Too be quote honest, unless you look for the link, it is not automatically visible. Also one only gets a chance to see it at the end of the form, once it is submitted.

Yes it is a concern, but in my opinion, a certain amount of trust amongst pen aficionados can be mustered along. If there is a way to amend the google form to not make the addresses and phone numbers visible, than its great. Otherwise, lets think of other options he can use in future to avoid this and make purchasing a smooth process for us. In other words, lets help him to help ourselves.

It's not other pen users I'm concerned about. Criminals actively collect personal data - I've had my details used to order goods for which I am then billed. It is too easy to harvest this information.

Internet security is vital!

I received my Ranga Bamboo Demonstrator last week. It looked great, but I took out the converter and filled the barrel with Teal from Krishna Inks. My white, sanitized desk at work could do with some greenery. I love the way the ink shows through in this gorgeously crafted fountain pen. The Bock nib does wonders for the writing experience. I'm thrilled with this group buy. Kudos to Mr. Kandan and the Ranga Pens team!

Think I'd like to get a bamboo too ... But the first page of this keeps falling over. Could anybody post me a link to the Google doc here please? Many thanks!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
