Stein Sparstift - Faber Castell?

Good morning everybody!

 

I'm new to this community and first i want to write a few things about me. My name is Nora and i study architecture in cologne (germany). Maybe that's the reason why writing instruments have always fascinated me! A few weeks ago i inherited some pens, pencils and other wonderful old things by a good friend of my grandpa (he was a technical drawer)! There are also some 1950s Rotring Rapidograph in their original packaging!

 

But now i will come to my original question. Among the items was also a leadholder pencil (i hope this is the right word, i had to google it) which says "Stein Sparstift". I didn't find any information about this pencil...only an ebay seller who writes in the desrciption, that these pencils are made by faber castell. I researched that a while but did not find any hint that this could be true!

 

So, has anyone in this community an idea how old this pencil could be and if it is really made by faber castell, or if it really is just an old, noname pencil?

 

I'm super excited and looking forward to your answers!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
