Anyone Know When The Aurora 88 Anniversary Pens Will Be Released?

I know most if not all the red and blue pens are sold out and one or two sellers have listed the other finishes but there's no photos of these other colours on the internet, except the few review pens that have done the rounds. Yellow and orange it seems.

Considering there are 8 finishes/ colours to release this year it seems strange there is so little info out there on the others.

Has anyone got one of the first colours released?

I too, received the yellow pens a few days ago, but they were booked, therefore sold out the same day.

The strange thing is that the yellow one was May, but I'm still missing March and April (brown and green).

Aurora can't tell me WHEN I will get the others. No schedules - and no photos, too!!!

And I forgot to take pictures of the yellow pens when I had them in my hands, due to the hurry for shipping. (Nice soft lemon yellow, though)

I have the red...it's gorgeous. My yellow is on the way from La Couronne du Comte. I passed on the blue 88 Anniversary. I have the black satin from last year, and the blue just looks a little too bland. BTW you can pre-order from La Couronne, and their customer service is outstanding.

Here is a pic of the colors, which includes two metal pens

That's the photo I was expecting to find somewhere! Perfect, thank you.

I'll have to come clean and admit I've ordered one from Susanna already on the basis of what I thought it would look like, good to have an idea of what to expect.

I can be patient about delivery - for a while.

Red and yellow. Very nice, are you getting others too?

More than one of these would be a bit too much for me. It will however join another modern 88 and an Optima but I'll be selling an 88 and a Visconti or two to cover this, and just because I don't use them.

I have the blue. Fabulous pen (all the nib of course).

The yellow and orange look fantastic.

Too many pens; too little writing.

The yellow is really special, and my favorite color. I'm also a fan of Aurora. But the price tag is a bit hefty for a resin pen

I'm very interested in the metal versions -- I've only seen a glimpse in a recent Aurora story posted on Instagram before the DC Pen Show. I'm sure the price will discourage me, but I'm very interested in knowing more about these.

I just ordered one from Farney's, they seem to have the best price. I'm getting the green the brown doesn't do anything for me and I have enough pens in orange, plus I think the green looks a little more classy. I hope the flex lives up to the claims.

I received mine a little while ago. I like the green color, a little different, not bright, but classy. I loaded it with Diamine Racing Green ink and gave it a quick try. It is flex, not as much as my Pilot with FA nib, but good, similar to some of my older Pelikan pens.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
