Converter Issue

While filling my CS with a screw on converter , the inks just runs out the nib till the converter is empty

What could be the reason for this?

Using another converter does not give the issue

Hi,

 

As FPs operate on a capillary system, it seems to me that that particular screw-in converter is not making an adequate seal with that pen.

 

As ever, my first step is to give the pen's nipple and the converter a thorough cleansing.

 

Give the threaded parts a visual inspection, with a loupe if you have one. Any cross-threading? Do the lengths of each threaded part match-up?

If the ink is running out and draining the converter, the converter may be cracked, either in the body or the front lip.

 

Or it may not be the correct converter for your pen.

CARFULLY compare the 2 converters and look for differences, especially in the mouth.

Just managed to use another one and no such issues anymore.
