Is there a possibility to use such a nib with a Parker 75?

Got really font of these Parkers and "created" my wishlist here. Unfortunately, my wife said she ignores this hint. :crybaby:

No. That is Parker 180. Entirely different pen and different nib section. Can not be usrd in Parker 75.

I know that but I still hope that someone found a way to use this nib with the 75. Because this pen is considerably more expensive than the 75s.

no that's not right the parker 180 is cheaper than the parker 75 and it is much slimmer too the only thing is that the parker 180 nib is a reverso with two different sizes to use from one nib

and no you cannot fix a parker 180 nib to a parker 75

I think it is a matter if mke's paersonal preference. May be he likes the 180 more than the 75. However, the 75 is a better pen when compared to the 180 and a lot other Parker C/C pens of the time.

Thank you for all the answers/comments. I don't know if I would like (or not) a Parker 180. I haven't had one. I just find the nib interesting.

When I looked at prices at Ebay or Yahoo Auctions, I only saw few 180s and all/most of them are over 90 USD. A good Parker 75, you will get here in Japan already at 50 USD.

I have both pens. I like the Parker 180 quite well and find it in no way inferior to the Parker 75.

It is not inferior in any way. But it is a slim pen. And then it is a matter of personal preference.

That I can talk about the 180 too, I just bought one. :)

Today were several available on Yahoo auctions - and I bought - most probably - one with Imperial design. To be confirmed! Then it would fit my Parker 75 rollerball with which this thread started.

I appreciated very much that the seller wrote "gold-colored" in his description. That kept other parties away.

It has arrived today. It is a USA Parker 180 with Imperial design - according to info on the web, it should be from around 1979.

Not gold-colored - but 22K electroplated. LINK :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
