Just finish my pen desk stand for my new Parker arrow flighters.

well done - great piece of carving - you can see why we've had this love affair with mahogany for so long, and it goes well with ss.           Have you copied a known shape of advertising material? - or is this your own creation?

 

I see acres of PM biros, but for some reason don't see their fountain pens.

The shape is my own, logo and text is from Parker.

That is a beautiful piece of wood, and the design is nice and simple. How did you finish it?

 

I tried to make a pen holder for a Parker desk pen [no cap], and even with a tapered hole the pen would dry out in a day. Coating the surface of the tapered hole didn't seem to help. so I bought a lovely, simple, black onyx bas for the black pen. Now it doesn't dry.

Thank you, it was three coats Danish oil and one coat clear wax.

 

That is a beautiful piece of wood, and the design is nice and simple. How did you finish it?
