Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Okay, so one more time for those of us who may not be able to read my cursive. (EB's helper has posted this image so that you will have a laugh. This helper will, however, be doing extra handwriting drills).

I will choose at least four winners by whim. Priority will be given for FPNers who have the most posts, most recent CRVs, FPN participation or general good deeds.
Winners will each pay shipping costs.
Winners will receive a pen, some paper and at least 2 ml of ink. What the winners will receive will be a mystery until they receive it. (Amber has recruited EB's helpers now that the busy season is over. EB's helpers choose ink and jelly beans at random.)

Winners are expected to participate in at least 5 CRVs. CRVs are explained here.

Winners are expected to give constructive feedback about the nib work that IantheJock has performed.

And we would really love to see pictures of what the winners receive.

If you wish to contribute to future PIFs like these, please send me a PM. The ink for this PIF has been donated by FPNers (aka Inksters) who were not going to use their ink and wanted to share.

Yes, I would love to participate! Both of you, amberleadavis and Ian the jock are incredible to do this! I have actually be wanting to participate in more CRVs since I have a new scanner. So, please add me in the "whimsical", or the "whim-ottery" or the "drawing of the whim".

I would love to be considered. amberleadavis you helped me with some paper and inks in the past for CRV/s and I must say I really enjoyed the experience. Perhaps if selected It will provide some much needed stress releif to do CRVs between writing I have to complete for Advance Legal Research final exams. A nice lovely 20-30pg case brief. LOL. I want to thank amberleadavis and Ian the jock for a awesome PIF

I am a little new to all of this, but I would love to still get the chance to participate, with the preconception that I will do my best to grow in contributions.

I run on Caffeine, Sarcasm and inappropriate thoughts.

Pretty please count me in!

Lately, I've been focusing on writing letters. I'm still a newbie, but I'd love to take a more active role.

Now, don't forget to send me a new PM with your full name and address. Everyone will at a minimum receive a letter from me with some CRVS and some Tomoe River Paper. If you are fairly new, then plan on doing some CRVs with me first.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
