Where To Buy A Namisu

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I haven't posted much here but I've been a member, reading a lot for some time. :)
With that said, I recently learned about Namisu fountain pens and I am wanting one, but the Nova in Titanium is sold out and apparently everyone that has one is keeping it, because I can't seem to find them for sale.

Is there a place where I can find it other than the brand's website?

Should I open a topic in the classifieds?

Thanks in advance.

Try putting an add in the Classifieds section.

I am sure you will find one in no time.

C.

Will do! :)

EDIT: I can't do that yet. :|

The Titanium Stone washed with Grooves in the Section doesn't seem to be sold out on my review just now( I'm guessing you want the Standard, non groove Titanium. Might try contacting the shop and see if they intend to restock or not. I got the Aluminum FP and the RB too. Love both. Seriously looking at the Ebonite Pre Order. Usual disclaimer apply, no association with manufacturer, other than a very happy, Kickstarter supporter.

Yes, the one with the grooves is called Orion and has quite a few other differences when compared to the nova (section, finials, etc) and I am looking for a Nova.

I sent them an email asking if they will ever get restocked, but so far no response.

The ebonite is GORGEOUS but a bit pricey and I want a Titanium one. :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Just received my all brass Namisu. It's utterly beautiful. It's actually the first time ever (and I can't believe I'm saying this) that I almost feel as if it's too gorgeous to use....... ;)

Next one on my wishlist is the new Kaweco Steel Sport.

I want a titanium nib for that one also, but will need to find a supplier for the nib.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
