Are There Other Parker Duofold 'big Red' With Christian Olsen Logo?

Just bought a Vintage Pwrker Duofold 'Big red' (flattop) from an auction site. I notice a C.O. anchor logo on its barrel which I believe is the logo of the Danish pen distributor of parker pens in EU during the 1930's. if i'm correct this is a rare sighting and a gem to my collection.

What do you think guys?

American capitalism -- If one is willing to pay enough, I can imagine The Parker Company making a special run of Duofolds. However, I suspect it is more likely an aftermarket customization. Items, (in this case pens) , with large, clear surface areas, are well-suited for tags, logos, etc. The Sheaffer NoNonsense pens, and later copies, were much preferred for this. Of course, I regard ANY vintage Parker Duofold Senior to be a treasure.

Will you share some photographs, please.

The item is still on my way, as of now I have the pictures that the seller sent me. Upon research, it seems to me that there are other Parker Fountain pens that are made in USA but marked with the Christian Olsen Logo to be sold for the European Market, but haven't seen much of the senior reds (I saw one around the net but it's the 'streamline' section feed).

Yeah that what bothers me, if it's an aftermarket customization. Here are some of its pictures.

My understanding is that pens destined for sale by Olsen were marked with the anchour by Parker and that they didn't start manufacturing pens until the late 1930's. I haven't seen a marked Senior but have seen several marked Juniors, so I would believe it is genuine.

There was a very informative Penol web site but it appears to have disappeared.

Yes, it's hard to search for more infos about other similar seniors with Christian Olsen marks. I think i saw via online a Duofold Senior 'Streamline' section that has the similar logo, but not the flat top section version. Now the question is, does the C.O. anchor marking makes it more sought after/valuable? Or devaluates it. Hmm the mystique that surrounds this pen.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
