Your experiences will, of course, be different than mine.

I have three Lamy LX pens, two EF and one F (black with that central decoration). I have two Aions, both F (slightly curvy shoulders on these). I have seven AlStars, mostly EF. I have a couple of Safaris with italics so they don’t count in this discussion. When I look at the very tip of each of the nibs with a loupe, I see absolutely nothing different among the lot. And, if dipped in the same ink and applied to the same paper, they all seem to feel exactly the same and offer the same feedback. Now, my ability to discern the more subtle aspects of the tip-to-paper interface are not as refined as others’.
I ride a recumbent, I play go, I use Macintosh so of course I use a fountain pen.

Go to the Martini Auctions site: https://www.martinia...ze_M_29964.html
Regina Martini often sells spare nibs in various sizes and the site is reliable.  I have always received excellent service.

Cool link, thank you! Saw many weird Lamy objects and accessories I did not know existed. Stumbled onto a branded Lamy “Safari case” that looks like a canvas pocket, ready to affix to one’s jodhpurs before heading into the bush.
