3000 Green Fountain Pens

Hi all, a wonderful forum, a great find!

I am searching for 3020 green fountain pens, with green ink, delivered by end of March 2017.

The sticking point appears to be green ink. Have approached brands like Cross directly with no success.

Can anyone help?!

Andy

Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. If it is pens already filled with ink I would look to Japan. Contact Platinum, Pilot and sailor. Generally most manufacturers do not sell pens already filled with any ink.

Second, consider asking for pens shipped with green ink cartridges included in the package but not installed.

Hello and welcome to FPN. :W2FPN:

You might be able to get green fountain pens and green cartridges to go with them, but you won't get 3000 fountain pens pre-filled with green ink from anywhere.

Are you looking for ballpoints or rollerballs by any chance? They might be a possibility from somewhere.

You could possibly try an ebay search to see if anything comes up, but the end of March is a big ask.

Platinum can supply the preppy with a green ink cartridge, and their green ink isn't terrible.

Cult pens are the UK supplier of the Preppy - contact them as an order of that magnitude will probably be done at wholesale prices.

I guess you can forget about the pre-filling because changes in air pressure and temperature does funny things with FPs.

It can get messy...

How about Pilot Varsity (disposable fountain pen) with green ink? Those obviously come pre-filled, but don't know will they serve the purpose.

Or the pilot metropolitan, but that is not already filled, but guess you can order them together so they come with a bottle or converted, Pelikan's souverans are often found with A great green resin, mumble, witter witter blah blah, I could go on for hours, but Then I could not avoid going off course.

Are these for promotional purposes?

What kind of budget per unit? You might be limited to something like the Thornton or Varsity if you want it with ink in it already. Especially if your per unit cost has to be pretty small. The other option is to order pens that use standard international cartridges and include a green cartridge with each pen. You would probably have to go to a distributor or even the manufacturer with the quantity numbers you are talking.

Thanks for all the great response and advice guys! The client has fallen in love with the Kaweco Classic Sport from cultpens, http://www.cultpens.com/i/q/KW23568/kaweco-classic-sport-fountain-pen-green

Looking to take 3020 of them, just waiting for confirmation of stock. Fingers crossed on that one.

As a back-up we have made direct contact with Platinum in Japan but no response yet.

You do understand that the pen you selected does not come with ink and will need cartridges?

But there's only 18 in stock!!!

I figured he'd have to climb up the chain to a distributor / manufacturer, but I was mostly joking. :)

Yes, now we can make numerous green ink recommendations. :) I'm thinking we could start out with the obvious: Kaweco Palm Green in cartridges (just to kick us off). :)

I'm betting there will be 3,020 very happy Leprechauns in a few weeks...

And if not, they can distribute the residue here. :D

Say!
I like green pens and ham!
I do! I like them, Sam-I-am!
And I would use them in a boat!
And I would use them with a goat.
And I will use them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good so good you see.

Thank you - I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your server!

It's threads like this that keep me coming back. Where else do you get to follow along as someone tries to find 3k green fountain pens on short notice?

And all the extra commentary (and poetry!) is just icing on the cake.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
