I am especially interested in the Nobuhiko Moriyama episode. He is the gentleman who adjusts nibs to suit individual writers. This used to be on Youtube, but I can't find it now. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I met with Kota Adachi (our VirtuThe3rd) in his hometown Matsue in October 2015. After that we exchanged a few e-mails and letters, but I never received an answer to my last letter that I sent probably in February 2016. At one point he mentioned that he was plagued by illness, but not which kind.

From what I know VirtuThe3rd fell ill and for some reason or other decided to disable the youtube account and removed all videos.

 

I'm hoping that someone downloaded the series who could re-upload them or get into contact with VirtuThe3rd to upload them again they were a great series! Hope he gets better soon he was been inactive for a while too :S

Please remember that Kota told us he had an agreement with the intellectual property owners about posting those videos.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
