Honestly!

WHAT will they think of NEXT?

I JUST bought Aurora Blue............I guess if I had only waited a bit, I could have "had the best of the two, former choices!"

It's been a long time coming... I hope it'll be worth the wait. I hope its as great as their black.

Can't wait to get some. :)

I'm searching the interwebs and cannot find reputable information regarding this ink.

I don't know what to make of it though.

On the one hand I'm a die hard fan of the silky opaqueness of Aurora Black. On the other, Aurora blue had always struck me as rather unremarkable.

I'll wait to seek how well received it is by the community before I make the plunge I guess.

I've always liked all two the Aurora inks. I'll plunck down a few of my own shekels and make up my own mind. The community can do/think what it wants. I'll march to my own drummer.

Is it an iron gall ink?

I think many people will :) So, now that they have three boring colors it's time to offer something murky and green :P

Might as well "wish BIG!" I am amazed @ the decision to have the third color; how long has Aurora existed with only the two colors? AND now Montegrappa has made some new colors available............it IS the "Golden Age of Inks!"

So, it is for sale in Europe already? Wonder how long before it gets to the U.S. I'm going to take a wait and see approach on this one. I like their black, I dislike their blue. I wonder where the combination of the two will fall.

Their color indicator on the label is mysterious.

Hmm, OK, is there any chance that listing is not legit? No one is confirming this is a thing. I admit the logic of Aurora creating a blue-black makes sense, but that doesn't mean they are.

Not yet seen here in Italy.

I'm just waiting for a sample to review for Aurora. No dates have been sent to me yet but I've just e-mailed my contact - before I saw this post!

We'll just have to wait and see.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
