In the book they send boutiques of all products coming this year, saw the new unicef, which has a 149 skeleton model, and beatles as well, which is lacquer and frankly a bit weird all yellow submarine like in color.

It was described as a mix of Saffron and desert red

I liked the body of the limited version, but for the price it shouldn't be brass even if that seems appropiate

I think it resembles the dostoevsky and woolf more than the more recent ones, as in it's a bit more restrained in texture and colors.

But the pictures in those books sometimes end up looking different to the finished and released model from what i recall of the two tolstoy models.

I can't wait to see the official pictures. I think it would be a great if Montblanc goes back to more classic designs. I really liked the Shakespeare and the Tolstoy, but designs like the Dostoevsky (or Poe, or Agatha Christie, that were based on classic pens) are ageless and elegant.

My immediate reaction was that it's a cross between the JFK and Shakespeare.

I'm not sure I understand the forum's policy.

We're allowed to talk about this pen, but not post (links to) photos? People are referring to photos but I can't see anything in Google...

We're not allowed to think about this pen.

We're allowed to discuss the "unannounced" pens, but not to post photos or texts which are copyrights of Montblanc and not "authorized" for public release yet. Though I'm not sure how far we can go on a description, which is why I personally haven't tried to describe it in detail (sorry Meiers!).

If the photos are currently embargoed by any manufacturer we do not allow them to be posted here on FPN.

All three.

I am eagerly looking forward to a very pretty pen.

The Little Prince is Saint-Exupery's masterpiece. And a very worthwhile read. Perhaps Montblanc will let themselves be inspired by the illustrations that the author created for his short novel.

But they did not include "boa and hat" part of the book, which is disappointing for me.

Boa and hat is related to "Le Petit Prince" book but the pen will be related to the book "Vol de nuit" that is why the pens will evoke the plane's fuselage.

I am looking forward to seeing it.

My reseller saw me the special edition and the limited edition the yearly catalog of MB. I don't find the special edition really interesting as often with MB pens but I really like the limited one that will be mine in Augustus when it will be released in Belgium. Of course I'm waiting to see it in real because catalog pictures can't show all the details and beauty of the pen.

Will you show us your pen when you acquire it?

N'hésitez pas de nous le montrer ici s'il vous plaît.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
