Eventually broke down and sent my O3B out to have some nib work done. Got it back and took it into work today, apparently the parts counter does more than count parts. I figured some might enjoy this.

I'm going to have to X-ray more of my pens.

Thank you for posting the image.

Who knew that the innards of a Montblanc Homer OBBB would look so interesting?

And how do you like this photo?
It’s not actually about pens, but it’s also a tool for work which I use everyday and it's also Montblanc :). Yesterday, I cleaned one of my pens from one of my favorite ink and I got such this adver photo:). Photoshop is present: the text and the inks cap, but the rest is all of one shot :)

A reminder to those who use the Montblanc forum:

As it says in the Montblanc Forum Rules, which can be found at the top of the first page of this forum, posting of any photographs or descriptions of distinctive details of products that have not been officially released by Montblanc is not allowed.

Specific to why I am posting this reminder is that any MB product associated with the (now-delayed) James Bond movie that was to open in theaters on April 3rd has not been officially released yet.

Thank you.

This is of course your right as a moderator, but in times of quarantine and self-isolation you need to leave room for humor. It was a traditional April Fools joke in many countries. Not on March 31, not on April 2, but on April 1, it was published. April 2, I would certainly will wrote information that this is a joke.

I will admit, I fell for it. Considering the current state of the world, April 1st joking did not much enter my mind.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
