I bought all of mine from Fook Hing in Singapore: http://www.fookhingtrading.com. They stock a lot of F-C pens and accessories and I believe they are the only one in Asia. It is a physical store in Singapore, so it may not answer your need for an online retailer, but if you are in the vicinity, that's an option. Otherwise, using the official F-C website seems to be a no-brainer.

Everything Calligraphy stocks Franklin-Christoph. They mostly cater to the local Philippine market but some users have commented that EC was able to ship our country-exclusive Diamines out of the country. You may want to ask them for a quote and get the lowest total cost (ink and shipping) between them and the other locations mentioned above. Enjoy!

I just wanted to buy a couple of bottles - I'm in the U.S.

The shipping for two bottles and nothing else is a little steep - that's the problem ordering from the FC web store.

I was hoping that with an on-line retailer I could also order other things I need, making the shipping more reasonable.

thnx for answers....

I just checked on the rate for shipping 2 bottles of FC ink from Papier Plume, there is a choice of "first class shipping" @ $3.97 & Priority shipping @ $6.95 for 2 bottles. This was shipped to MY home state, you might check to see if the rate for your would be agreeable to you. I have been very happy with every order I have placed with them & appreciate the option of their offering the "first class reduced rate." This morning I ordered something from another retailer that I was in "no hurry for," a couple of converters for a pen I ordered from Japan (I couldn't find it in the US with the nib size I wanted) the first class option would have suited me fine because I am sure the converters will arrive before the pen!

Shipping rates are really different from the individual sellers, you do have to do a bit of comparison shopping to find what is best for you. I am sure you will enjoy the ink, wherever you purchase.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
