Mont Blanc Outlet Uk

Hey guys, hope this in the right place. I am off to Bicester Village tomorrow and obviously will be checking out the Mont Blanc Outlet store and wondered if any guys on here have visited and what kind of discounts to expect. I will most likely be after a Rollerball as I favour these as I don't write much and they are a little cheaper to purchase which keeps the Mrs happy :)

Any info on what to expect such as rough prices or discounts would be great, Cheers

Please tell us about it. I didn't know they had an outlet store. Can you check if they have any of the writers' edition pens? Or do they only have the standard Meisterstück line.

I've never been despite the fact that it's not far from my house as the crow flies. I'm not sure if they will have any Writer's Edition FP's, but I believe they sell ink. :D

I bet they will have a rollerball or two to choose from. B)

I see there is also a dunhill shop. If you get a chance, see if they have pens. I like the Sentryman ballpoint...

I have been to Bicester last Christmas. The store had quite a few pens and leather accessories. Most of the pens were from the past years. Don't expect the popular ones to be available. Pricing wise I would say toucan knock off upto 15-25% depending on the product.

Cheers for the info, didn't make it over today but if all goes to plan either tomorrow or next weekend but as soon as I go I will update this thread and let you know what kind of discounts are available. I was hoping for around 40% off but we shall see

I recall coming across the John Lennon limited edition. Airbus, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and quite a few Bohemes. I also got myself 2 100 anniversary edition pouches.

Sorry to the OP for going off topic, but to confirm, the last time I was there c.12 months ago, the Dunhill shop did have a small selection of pens.

If you want a really good sale, you should get the Montblanc store's preferred customer list.

They always have an annual sale ranging from 10% up to 50% off blowout around April when they try and get rid of old stock from the previous year.

I remembered I got a 146 Doue, quite a few Bohemes because they were the cheapest, a 144, a Toscanini, and a few leather items like a briefcase and pen cases. It was a good sale.

This may be the case in the US but I've never known it to happen in the UK.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
