I. The next Pan Pacific Pen Club meeting:

Saturday, January 14 at the Foster City Recreation Center, in the Mallard Room, from 11: to 2:

The PPPC is a great place to show off your collection, buy, sell, or trade a pen.

You can ask experts about that mystery pen you found, or how to do a repair.

Newcomers are always welcome.

II. PPPC Facebook Group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/PPPC1/

Bringing something interesting to show or sell?

Looking for a pen, part, or information about a pen or a repair??

Post a note in the group, and give club members a heads up.

If you’re not a member, send a request and one of us will approve.

III. Los Angeles Pen Show – is coming up February 16 – 19: http://www.lainternationalpenshow.com/

If you are planning to get a table, you should respond quickly, as the show sold out last year.

Want to share a table, a room, or a ride?? Post a note in the PPPC Facebook group.

IV: Directions to the meeting:

The Foster City Recreation Center is at 650 Shell Blvd, Foster City 94404 - https://goo.gl/maps/Hi6f4C52GVJ2

The easiest way to get there, from Hwy 101:

Get off 101 at E. Hillsdale Blvd, heading East (towards the Bay)

Approximately 1.5 miles, past the Shopping center on the left, and the park on the right, is Shell Blvd.

You’re there.

The Rec Center is at the corner of Hillsdale and Shell. Turn right onto Shell, past the rec. center to

the parking lot. There will most likely be spaces in the lot, but if it’s full, there is another lot a few yards further down Shell, past the tennis courts.

A last resort is the parking behind the library, across Shell Blvd.

From the East Bay:

Exit Highway 92 (San Mateo bridge) at Foster City Blvd.

A right turn at the end of the exit, then a right onto Foster City Blvd.

Cross over the freeway, than right on E. Hillsdale.

When you get to Shell Blvd, your there. Turn right onto Shell, past the rec. center, and into the parking.

Hope to see everyone there January 14th.

I was recently made aware of a considerable number of new FPN members from the SF Bay Area. I'd like to invite all the new FPN members and any old FPN members that have not attended a Pan Pacific Pen Club meeting to join us.

These meetings are like mini-pen shows and everyone is welcome from beginners to advanced collectors.

Is there a way to arrange a carpool for those of us who have neither FB accounts nor cars?

From where??

I also live in SF, and while I don't insist on BART, I would be likely to go to a meeting if the location were easily accessible via public transit.

There are a few PPPC members in Millbrae and Bart ends there. The Pen Posse meets across the street from Bart but that venue isn't as much of a mini pen show but all are welcome there as well.

We can see if there is a carpool possibility.
