Anyone Did An Aurora Nib Exchange Through Kendro Recently?

I contacted them regarding a nib swap. They agreed but said that the quote will be sent once they receive the nib.

 

I was planning on sending one, or two ... or four depending on the price, but could not get an estimate.

 

Has anyone done it in 2016?

If you don't hear from them, you might contact nibs.com. They do a good business in nibs of all sorts, including Aurora.

I once contacted Aurora regarding a nib swap. They said they don't do them. They will remove one nib and fit a different nib, but they will charge you for a new one, even in a brand new pen.

Did you contact Aurora directly Chrissy or through Kendro?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
