Dear Friends,

It is my pleasure and honour to share the latest Shimmer Inks from Diamine due to be released this month. There are 12 colours and I have been able to review them all thanks to Diamine. I welcome your thoughts and feedback, as always. This colour has been so much fun to use despite it being very punchy.

This one looks quite nice with the gold particles.

It is stunning - i think one of my top four with Magenta, Enchanted Ocean... and Inferno Orange!

Thanks for the review.

This is one I can pass on. The gold with the green is nice, but I don't like the underlying color -- it's just not a green I could see myself using.

Same comment as the other one. But this one I would also use.

Tempting. I have 8 of the 10 from the first round of Diamine shimmering inks (now that I know it was a first round).

I've used one so far, Brandy Dazzle.

I hope to see more reviews of Green Oasis. It might would be a nice Spring green.

First off, Brandy Dazzle is epic. But that's a tangent.

I am going to mix this with the black/silver to get the green dark enough for my taste, and I suspect this will work very very well.

Thank you for the review.

I agree with you about Brandy Dazzle. It was my favourite from the original set. Golden Oasis is a really nice bright green ink that was voted as one of the favourites on here when I asked for votes for new colours.

It is a gorgeous spring green - it was difficult to capture the vibrance in the images. I need to revisit Brandy Dazzle!

That sounds spectacular - please do share images of your creation! I think a darkish green with gold would be very nice!

Thank you for the review...

My absolute pleasure

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
