lovely review...
I actually love the matte one in ebonite more...

After correcting the nib I'm also feeling a bit of partiality towards the ebonite one at present.....both pen have their own places I think....

I see mine as an extravagant pen... It has the three cap bands, and those sharp points at the end. Why settle for matte? I love the shininess of it. I have a few pens in matte ebonite, and it can be lovely, totally agree. But for this one, I like the glossy!

You have a very nice pen there....Guider has a few very bright colours for you....and now they can provide Schmidt nib units with their pens on request as well....so good times are coming...

Beautiful pen and nice review. Thanks. I'm really curious what kind of nib could fit into the acrylic one. The #5 nib looks a little smaller and it would be just fantastic if you can fit a two tone Balance nib in there.

I think #5.5 Kanwrite or ambitious nib, which corresponds to international sizes...5.5 is the feed diameter.....

I actually have a few Guiders with Schmidt nibs - all the Onyxes they did, and I'm happy to say it was my having two Schmidt units with no pen that prompted the development of those... long story... but five Onyxes (all ebonites btw) with Schmidt nibs found their way to me: two model 1s and three model 2s (the ones from the group buy). And I have a bright blue acrylic one.

I'd be interested to take a look at their new offerings though - do you have a link?
