Hi All

 

Just to give your a heads up that Pelikan has commissioned a Limited Edition of 300 pens on the above. Found out the news from Novelli website - http://www.novelli.it/en/pens/Pelikan--The%20Statue%20Of%20Zeus--fountain%20pen_2141206249-limited-edition-pen.aspx

 

I believe it is in a M1000 chasis. Looks splendour in white coupled with rose gold furniture. Not sure what is the theme of this LE pen and reckon it is part of the Wonders of the World series edition. I could be wrong though.

 

What's your thought on the pen?

Hello Daeng. It is the second to last release in the Seven Wonders series. It is actually based off of the M700 making it an M400 sized pen. Rather disappointing to me that they didn't base it off the M900. For the size, I find the price to be a bit gratuitous but I love the look. PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Thanks for the information, Joshua. It is a small pen for an LE particularly for the Wonders of World series. Agree with you that I like the look though.

Not my taste. I'm sort of leery of white pens.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

 

 

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

Therefore my favourite white Pelikan is the White Tiger from the limited chinese series. Unfortunately it is too rare and too expensive for me. Like all limited editions.

The beauty of this series was the way these pens were presented..

Huge boxes, statues, bling blings, acrylic decorations etc etc

This one just comes in a rather humble box- how disappointing.

I saw one online selling for 1200USD. I don't know if it would still be available! Had no box or papers though.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.
