About $400-410 with today's exchange... seems about where I've seen others in the past couple months.  If you need it, you pays up and considers it done  ;)   Unless you're collecting sumgais and not pens.

(the other one is over $200 now, with 14 hours to go...)

5 serious bidders willing to go over $200... I was thinking it would go $300, so yes, congrats to the one who filled the hole in their collection.

Don't get me wrong, I would love as many sumgai deals as I can get, but for building a collection of great pens it is not the best strategy  ;)   (last sumgai was a $19 P51Burgundy with a very nice F, almost EF, nib).  I know there are some here who do this for sport though... good hunting to all!

$281 US, even for a Plummer? :o  Too rich for my blood.  Fortunately for my wallet, I don't collect pen/pencil sets.  While I'd love to someday get a full-sized Plum 51, for the time being I'll be content with my user grade Demi.

Oh, and thanks :notworthy1: to whoever in another thread suggested De Atramentis Aubergine to Lloyd: the color match is spot on, for those who really color match pen and ink color.

It might that the passing of the former owners has brought these pens to market.

Rest in peace, former owners, and well done.

And rest in the knowledge that your beloved pens will be in the safe hands of those who, like you, appreciate the finest in writing instruments and will use them in that spirit -- and then, eventually, pass them on to another generation of pen lovers.

Plum Demi? It looks to have an octanium nib and a hoop filler. Pic #6 and #7.

Weird.

Could it be some sort or retrofit?

Some demis had hoop fillers.  I am not so sure the nib is Octanium, but an Octanium nib and a hoop filler might be the result of a Parker repair job.

"...Cap has no dents or dings and has a Plum tag"

Is that a Parker thing? Or is it just a piece of paper with PLUM written on it?

Did Parker have colour ID on new pens?
