Conway Stewart 1209 Fountain Pen

Hello, all. I just had the opportunity to pick up this Conway Stewart No 1209. It is in good condition, but needs a new sac and some real cleaning. However, aside from what I've gotten from Max Davis's and Jonathan's web sites that the pen was made in 1933, has Duro 40 nib, and solid 18k bands, I can find no other history about the pen. Was it made only in 1933? Was it a special production for a special event? And the questions go on. I woould appreciate any feedback you all might have to share.

Well, there was supposed to have been and image, <_< but I have no web site to direct this page pointer. I lieu of the image, imagine a 125 mm closed, dark blue/black marble with 2 18k gold bands on the body - one on either side of the lever - with a Conway Stewart long clip on a cap that has a black jewel.

That is a supremely handsome pen, though, and I suspect it's quite rare. I certainly haven't seen one before. Acquiring that one's a real coup! I envy you the joy of bringing that pen back to peak condition.
