Potential clues

  • Thin band on cap
  • Semi translucent red with streaks of green
  • Lever in 1 piece
  • Black section
  • Feed with fins

Could someone give me some hints as to what Waterman it is, esp. its age and likelihood for flex nib? Thanks

^ Forgot to add, that this pen's clip has been snipped off. In any case, I'm more after performance than pristine mint condition.

Have you checked the model number at the flat end of the barrel? It should have a Thorobred, 92V or some similar model imprint there. Made of celluloid in the USA and Canada in the 1930s

IIRC, this is a 32A-V or something in that range. Late 1930s. The nib could be anything from a nail to a feather, there is no definitive mate for this model. From the shape of the nib, though, I wouldn't lean toward significant flex.

Is there no marking on the bottom of the barrel?

Thank you gents. I won that pen, am waiting for seller to send me a picture of the model number.

In the meantime, I'd like opinions on the following 52 nibs: quality, condition, flexiness etc.
