Unmarked Barrel?

I just wonder if Burnham had ever produced fountain pen with unmarked (no words) barrel?  Anybody seen any?  Many thanks.

Yes, I have seen these several times.


Like the Conway barrels with no markings, I suspect they were replacement parts for pens returned having been damaged.

Or produced for other sellers. Particularly with Conway's, there is a thinner black pen comparable to the post war 388, often with one or two bands, that rarely has Conway marks
