Anyone going to the Tilburg Penshow on the 24th of september?

It will be from 11:00 tot 16:00 at the Natuurmuseum Brabant, spoorlaan 434, 5038 CH Tilburg

This is across the central train station.

Last year the entrance was €10,- I'm not sure if the price is still the same.

See you there :-)

I'd love to go but will have only recently returned to the UK from Australia by then. And it's very close to the London Pen Show.....

I will also be there. Will bring a friend of mine along who just started collecting. It will be her first pen show, isn't that exciting! Does anybody know whether Fred Faggionato and Cruzalt Pens will be there again?

I'll be there, it's my first time visiting the Pen show in Tilburg, after 2 years attending to Madrid.

So, it's across central train station. I didn't knew and I'm going to check how to arrive. Better than driving.

I will be there I enjoyed last year especially seeing Sarj and those lovely Parker vacumatics. Sarj, if you have any Mottishaw or Masuyama grinds then pleae bring them.

Lennard, I notice that you have a couple of Pelikan M1000 nib units for sale, if it is not too much trouble could you bring them with you?

I will be there as well! My first show!

Really excited! So Lennard, you've been there last time, could you tell me something about it?

I just came to this site today and enjoying my first 'real' fountain pen (TWSBI Eco) just a few moths.

I love pens but maybe a bit too new to the hobby for vintage ones. I LOVE ink and I am looking for good paper etc.

All information about the show is welcome really! Thanks!

Would be interested to hear how the show compares to Madrid. I have been to Madrid but not this one.

Da vinci, I went to the Madrid pen show the last two years too. Madrid is 3 days pen show, all day and free entry with invitation thanks to the Spanish sellers. I'm curious about my first pen show here. And already making a list of inks, paper, possible pens... :vbg:

Looking forward to it. Train connections from Brussels seem very convoluted though, is anyone travelling from Belgium or Germany (NRW)?

For those who have been before or those exhibiting: what kind of an ink selection will be available?

See some of you there :)

Very excited to go tomorrow!

I've been waiting to leap into the vintage pen part of the hobby, hoping to pick up a beauty.

I really love the look of the Parker vacumatics, but also looking for a vintage flex.

Other than that, I'll just see what's there. I am wondering if most sellers have some sort of mobile paying solution or that I need to bring cash?

I'm sure there's an ATM at the train station, so shouldn't be a huge issue.

I recognized some usernames from the Pelikan hub last Friday, so nice to see you again so soon! Just for me to make sure to actually do some shopping as it's tempting to just chat the afternoon away :)

DON'T PANIC

I'll bring cash just in case that some sellers only accept this payment.

See you tomorrow!

I was there a couple of years ago, and didn't like the show at that time.

High up prices, used pens who were sold as new...had a bad experience.

But decided on the last moment to go and give it a second change.

I went with my youngest daughter to see the museum, and do the pen show as well.

We have both a lovely sunny day.

Great museum, pen show, great people and 2 rooms full of pens and pen-enthusiasm.

And yes, bought a couple of pens I couldn't resist.

Wasn't counting on that...

I certainly will come again.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
