Welcome

Looks nice, but could be one of the many brandless BPs out there

Anything written on it, or on the refill?

I don't know what the pen is either, but for a refill, try a Pilot Frixion or Uniball Signo 207 or similar.

Hi, From your photo it appears that the refill is a gel type and is almost empty too.

There are quite a few refill types around of course, but Uniball types do tend to fit many other pens, otherwise if you could post a picture of just the refill out of the pen, with some measurements of length and width, then it's possible that someone here could give you a match for your current one.

There are hundreds of these types of pen around now, but it's the refill that matters !

Muji Sarasa actually the Zebra Sarasa made for Muji

if your looking for refills anything that accepts the Pilot G2 should work or buy Zebra Sarasa refills or buy from Muji goodluck!

if you browse Muji pen selections you can probably notice who made them

The capped gel pens may more or less be Tombow

Triangular eraser is by Pentel

Pocket long short MP, BP and FP by Ohto

white mechanical pencil with a metal grip is Pentel

clear mechanical pencil with a shaker unit is Zebra

spring loaded clip in either 2 variants (clear plastic with a .5 engraving or a colored plastic) is Zebra the rubber grip is a tell tale sign

these are the pens and pencils from top of my head

they also have uni's alpha gel pens

the customizable multipen is Pentel

I'm not sure about the slim pencil they have hunches it's either Pilot or Platinum

Hi, Can you take a photo of your refill and measure the length and width of it?

If you have any other pens from Uniball or Pilot or PaperMate or Pentel, try those refills first and find out if any are a good fit.

You might find it cheaper to buy a pack of pens locally to you, and take the refills out to use in your favourite pen.

I've actually ordered the Zebra Sarasa refill because from my researches it seems to work with the pen i have.

Hi, You could be right with that refill. They are 112mm long by 6mm, and do write very smoothly.

I have a Pentel Energel refill which is the same size and would fit in your pen too. Also very smooth.

I'm not sure if Muji has branches in the land down under but if your looking for refills anything that fits the Pilot G2 works (typically Japanese retractable gel pens)

Muji in JP only ships in JP but it seems the land down under has Muji Branches... good place to start

  • 2 months later...

If anyone stumbles across this again... the original pen is a Muji retractable gel pen and Pilot Juice refills fit perfectly.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
