These days very few shops stock special nibs for Waterman. You will need to make use of their nib-exchange scheme.

Not sure how that works in India...

I have 3 Carènes, of which 2 with stub nib. I like them.

Is it available anywhere..

1.

It is listed @ Nibs.com, (Classic Fountain Pens,Inc) USA as being "STOCK STUB" as one of their nib choices for this pen

"List price: $289.00, THEIR price: $232.

2.

I purchased mine from The Online Pen Co ( est. 2006 United Kingdom) offers STUB nib/14 day delivery

Their price: $176.01

An interesting note is the price is LESS than I paid almost 2 years ago.

I ordered mine on 10 /22 /2014 & received it (with the stub nib) on 10/ 27/ 14 & paid $185.28 + $11.20 shipping to US, total cost $196.48

My pen was "New, in Waterman box" with no issues, then or since, although it is my LEAST favorite stub, which is my preferred nib choice. Perhaps because it is a NAIL? But it is a beautiful pen, Amber shimmer or something, lovely styling, finish, performance (ALWAYS starts, no matter how long since use) BUT because it is such a "nail" I don't use it as much as others.

Here in the UK we have a few options.

1. Buy from a high street dealer and ask THEM to send the pen to NR for a nib exchange. This is an expensive route because you will pay high street pay prices say £220 for a Black Sea Gloss GT then £7 postage to NR.

2. Buy from an online dealer (approved or auction) and once received send the pen to NR for the free nib exchange. The section MUST be in mint condition. This can be a fairly cheap method. Amazon UK sell the Black Sea Gloss GT Medium nib for £72. The final cost being around £80.

In all cases NR pay the return costs.

This is all not much help to you if you are based in India but you may know someone that can assist with a purchase outwith. Or you could contact Amazon to ask if they export.

If you want to buy only the nibsection, penbox is a good choice:

Just got mine from them 2 weeks ago.

If you want to a new carene - whole pen - you get the stub via nib-exchange at Waterman.

I want to buy Complete new pen.. And color in mind I'd blue obsession one with gun metal cap

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
