Wahl Tempoint - Is It A Frankenpen?

Received today this Wahl Tempoint. I know the ingredients are connected as Wahl purchased Boston, but I'm not sure that actual pens contained them:

1. Wahl Tempoint barrel imprint. GF Lever with Nov 24 14 imprint. 72 imprint on barrels bottom

2. Boston no. 2 nib

3. WHH German Silver roller clip

 

Could this combination be legit or is it a Frankenpen?

I'd say it was most likely legit. The lever is early Wahl using the Sheaffer patent with the 72 code for a lever #2 pen which is the same code used by Boston. The roller ball was in use during Boston and Wahl used it as well of course. So the biggest question would be about the nib being right. Boston nibs are found on early Tempoints on occasion which can be explained in at least a couple of ways - using up stock or a repair of a broken Boston retaining the nib in a new body. Having dozens of Bostons and quite a few Tempoints I would not be put off by a Tempoint having a Boston nib.

Thanks for the explanation Roger. I wasn't sure about the clip either because the Tempoints I saw on the net had plain (not marked) roller clips or "regular" clips.
