Lately my interests have drifted away from Kafka's due to its length...

So, to rename my Favorites, and my wish list:

Faves (owned): Leonardo and Mark Twain

These look and write fantastically

Wish list:

-Proust, Ludovico (888 edition), Poe, Dumas and Verne.

While we are at it: Friedrich II, Pope Julius.

Here are some pictures of ones that haven't been posted yet

If I won lottery today and had to spend money on 5 Montblanc's I would buy...

1. Blue Hour Skeleton

2. Andy Warhol 1928 Ltd. Ed. with flowers

3. 1914 in Black or Coral

4. Another Skeleton in Silver with 149 shape

5. Moonpearl

The only one I seen in person is the Moonpearl in Harrods on holiday a while back. In a massive glistening room full of fountain pens it really stood out as by far the most impressive...but then they didn't have the skeletons, 1914, Andy Warhol...

Here is the Andy Warhol 1928 that hasn't been posted yet

I like the classic look of the 149

I agree! Available in 3 different trims now (yellow gold, red gold, platinum)

What's the name of Starwalker on the bottom? That looks gorgeous

I think Montblanc calls it "Starwalker Cool Blue"

Obviously: my Princesse Grace:

The pen has beautiful lines, certainly worthy of a princess. Nice matching journal cover to go with your pen!

Thanks everyone for your input! Montblanc certainly pushes the envelope in their variety of designs from the very simple classic to the elaborately detailed royal looking pens. Not all the designs are going to appeal to everyone, but the ones that appeal to me I find are simply magnificent!

Please keep them coming!

The WE Daniel Defoe is absolutely stunning.. I love the attention to detail and the thoughtful treatment they've given this theme overall. Just beautiful.

Was choosing between this and the Heritage 1912 when I was purchasing my first MB FP, but decided on the 1912 instead. Though price of both are pretty similar, I chose the 1912 for its timeless design.

Hi guys, I'm new here.

This is one of my favourite fountain pens from Mont Blanc. I believe it is a 144?

Cap & End Cap - Platinum plated.

Barrel - Engravings on black resin.

Nib- 18k two tones | M | Ink converter.

I like the looks of the Daniel Dafoe too. The rounded cigar shape and dark metallic sections is kind of like the stealthy ultra black 146, but more antiquated with the unique clip and brownish color of the body. The scroll work effect on the blind cap adds that much more character to the pen.

That's an interest 144 with metallic blind cap section and textured barrel.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
