I ordered a couple as well, but when I checked out I was reminded why I had not ordered from Levenger recently; their shipping rates are outrageous. I added a few other items and the shipping was nearly 1/2 the order.

Still $19 for a pen that regularly goes for $99 is a great deal

If you select USPS ground shipping, it is only $6. That's how much most vendors charge for an order of that size (two standard size pen boxes). Their 2-Day and Next Day shipping is expensive.

Looks like their all gone.

Yeah, it was a deal too good to pass. I was actually going to place an order for the Facets on Sunday as they had an outlet sale which brought the price down to $48. I'm glad I waited, I now have two for $38!!

I'm quite sure they're not making a loss even at $19 a piece, which makes me wonder about how high their markups are at full retail price.

I did choose standard shipping. I think the other items, although they were small created the added expense. I would not complain about $6. As you said, that's pretty standard.

They cancelled my order :( - no stock.

Oh! that's not good.

I got a shipment email with tracking number this morning. So I'm guessing my order has been fulfilled! I wouldn't be happy if they cancelled my order, I was probably the first to place the order, I ordered mine at 8AM!

Maybe it's good I didn't see this thread until just now.... I probably have too many pens as it is.

Damn... too late. :(

Ditto.

They only have the ballpoints.

No wonder I didn't understand... haven't seen a ball game in many years. Probably not since the Red Sox won their last pennant, at least!

No television!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
