Hi Everyone! I'm Vijay ... I run a Facebook group called MTN (Midori Travellers Notebooks) Fountain Pens and Inks. I have just under 1,500 members of all levels and like to support each other on our journey of collecting using and learning about all thinks Fountain Pen!

 

I' currently running a group buy with Carl Fishers and wondered if anyone would be interested.... is this something that can be shared here?

Welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell. Generally members need to have been here for at least thirty days and have made at least 30 posts in areas other than chatter before anything related to buying or selling can be discussed.

Thank you ... Appreciate you letting me know ... I apologies for not following the rule.... I did try and post in the section for Pay-Forward ... if you have to please feel free to delete the post. I'm looking forward to getting to know more people in the group and discussing FP's & Inks!!!

Welcome, Vijay !

Unlike the early days, FPN no longer flogs violators. I , for one, am relieved. :lticaptd:

"30 posts" are easily accomplished.

I have always been taken lost by the paper sizes, such as A4, A5, etc. Can you share the paper dimensions in inches ? Please. Is there a chart ?

Hello, Vijay, and welcome to the Fountain Pen Network. You sound to me as if you definitely belong here. I don't do Facebook. It is over my skill level for one thing and then the name "Facebook" - I have never seen anything I looked when looking in a mirror. However, if I did do Facebook, your group sounds like one I would want to check out. Oh, and don't worry about your little slip up. You did not know. I have been a member here for some years and I get into trouble at least once or twice a month (if we had desks here, mine would be out in some hall).

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
