Lucky Day At The Flea. Are There Specialty Collectors Of Mont Blanc Advertising Pens?

My son came back from a Flea Market today with some MB Classic Platinum BallPoint and Pencil Sets with with a MB Case. All have a corporate logo suggesting that these were gifts or presentation sets. They are NIB, surely not fakes. In my world (retired professor), ball points/pencils with corporate logos are found on $0.20 throwaway pens. So for me, these are pretty interesting. In general, engraved names/imprints detract from values on most of the pens I collect. But in this case I am unsure. I will say that with a little Simichrome the logos could be gone - but not from the fantastic leather MB 2-pen cases. Anyway, are there specialty collectors for these high-end advertising sets?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
