Until the end of June, the locations won't be decided - so basically, the more people that sign up asking for a location, the greater the chance of that city being chosen.

Woo hoo! Signed up for Dallas. C'mon DFW & surrounding areas, register! The date is September 16th, a week before the Dallas Pen Show.

Life's too short to use crappy pens.  -carlos.q

My login from last year doesn't seem to be working.

The Colorado Pen Posse is excited about getting a Pelikan Hub in Denver this year. We need the ink :) Several of us have signed up. Anyone close to Denver is welcome to pile on!

The link to register is here:

http://www.pelikan.com/pulse/Pulsar/en_US.CMS.displayCMS.206789./pelikan-hubs-2016

You will then get a confirmation email and you need to click the link in that email to finalize and confirm your registration.

If you register BEFORE 30 June 2016, your registration counts as data that Pelikan will use in selecting the 2016 hub cities.

The more I know about computers, the more I like my pens.

Cool thanks.

I'll sign up and cast my vote for San Francisco.

I indicated "Bay Area" California....hopefully the folks at Pelikan will count this? Let's get more to register!?

I've registered and put San Francisco as my location. Last year was a lot of fun, hopefully we'll get a chance to do it again!

What??? Not enough people to hold a hub in London, England??? Where were you all?

Might have to visit my brother in Belgium, my sister-in-law in Madrid, or travel to Hexham

I chose my user name years ago - I have no links to BBS pens (other than owning one!)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
