Hi,

OooLaLa !!

With such a beautiful pen I'd either write endlessly, or be so distracted I'd get nothing done :happyberet:

And the wooden pen stand is exceptional!

Bye,

S1

Lovely! I love the stand and the colors are wonderful.

Thanks all for your kind comments.

Indeed, looking at the pen rather than writing is a common occurrence. Luckily, this one never leaves the house and it gives me welcome thinking pauses in my snail mail writing!

The stand is but a branch found on a tree while walking the little one. I do love it though. It contrasts nicely with most pens :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I can imagine as you start writing and the feeling of "I will not stop till its run out of ink" overcome you.

True - you are also at risk of admiring the pen rather than writing :D

I can relate to that feeling to, same with my most beautiful pen I own. Or basically it can happen with many pen I have... Like in the 75% of my collection the look of the pen is an important factor as well.

Which pen is that. I am curious now :)

I must confes, look is also a factor for me. Even my understated Aurora 88 (modern) has beauty in my eye!

My most beautiful pen is Montblanc Princesse Grace de Monaco, the previous purple edition. I can stare that pen for a long time.

It is a beauty indeed! Makes it a poor choice for a long letter, or not. Depends how much time you have on your hands ;)

The real danger is that there are more pen like this where this one comes from :s

This is a stunning pen! There is so much depth to it.

Thanks for passing and commenting. As i wrote earlier, I'm quite in love with it, and it's a lovely writer too. The sailor 21k is really velvety, and in MF, it's nearly the perfect size.

I use Sailor's Jentle ink Oku Yama which fits both the theme and the color :)

I really appreciate your efforts to keep my finances safe. :D

Indeed 21k sailor nib is just like its came from an another planet... Have a 1911L with MF nib, and gosh, I can't put down that pen either... I would just wrote pages of love letter to whom I love and care. Even the design is simple compare to this Maki-e goddess, still such a perfect pen.

Lucky loved ones :) Next to the pleasure of writing letters is the pleasure of reading them.

Next to this 21k MF nib, Sailor produces some great ink too, my pen is most often inked in Oku Yama from the season collection (there is a great test on those in the ink section). I also love Miruai which i use in a CS Churchill bracket green. Both are such great combinations!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
