Hello! In the USA, according to the Lamy USA website, the Logo fountain pen is only available in a matte or brushed stainless steel finish. In addition to those finishes, the ballpoint pens are also available in brown, green, grey, coral, blue, and black. Perhaps, in Europe, the ballpoint colors are available for the fountain pen. I have never seen a 'special edition' logo other than some ballpoints with special color combinations with a manufacturer's logo imprint. I have one specially made for VW that was packaged with a book about Lamy for the Japanese market.

'Just a thought, but Lamy makes a very nice matte black CP1 fountain pen (same nib as the Logo).

A couple of months ago I bought an all black lamy logo at my local store. I got a discount as they told me it was an old pen they had in the store for a long time. So there are all black ones out there. Maybe it was a limited edition. I hope you can find one too.

I also have a black logo. The same as pictured above.

I got it as a bday present from my dad when i was 18 or 21 (i cannot remember exactly but it was one of the two). I am 36 now so the model might be 15 to 18 years old

For anyone who might still be on the hunt for an all-black Lamy Logo, I managed to find it in stock here:

https://vanness1938.com/collections/lamy-fountain-pens/products/lamy-logo-matte-black-fountain

I ordered one and received it today, and it looks as good in person as you would hope! It's definitely some very old stock, as it came with the old, unmarked Lamy black nib, which as I understand it means the pen is likely from the 80s or 90s!

As of this posting the store claims to have three more left in stock. On your marks, get set, go! :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
