Kwzi Cappuccino

I am a bit concerned about posting this review. There are people out there in the world that have become ink speculators, buying multiple bottles, and reselling them at scalper's prices on the Bay of Evil. Currently, while people may have heard of KWZ Inks, they don't have much experience with them. Perhaps it would be better than way.

Then I, and those like me who have discovered these wonderful inks out of Poland will have them for ourselves. Perhaps a little selfish, but I don't want these inks to disappear in a buying frenzy, or perish the thought! of Mr. KWZI retiring from ink making because he has Mrs. KWZI, and they'll some day want to settle down with baby KWZIs, and ink-making will fall by the wayside, to be just a tale passed along to the grandchildren KWZIs of when the Polish inky star rose in the heavens higher than all the others.

So hush! Keep this as a secret just between us. Tell no one!

Anyway, the usual papers from me: MvL=Mohawk via Linen, Hij=Hammermill 28 ln inkjet, TR=Tomoe River.

As always, the images of the ink are darker than appearing in reality than on your screen. The ink is a standard ink, meaning that isn't not water-resistant, it's not an IG ink. Just a regular ink. But it's pretty yummy I think.

Thank you for another wonderful review of a wonderful ink. I have enjoyed this one for some time & like all the Kwzi inks it is "just a bit different" from other inks to make me happy to include it in my "Brown Family." I agree that it is an odd time in the "world of ink" but you are correct to share your well founded view of this beauty. AND the fascination with the "fancy bottles" might delay the "SWOOPing up" of the Kwzis; thankfully these bottles just do what they are supposed to do & hold great ink, securely for filling.

Humorous copy and comprehensive review, white_lotus! The waterfastness test really shows off the cappuccino-ness, doesn't it?

Yes it does. Some day I'm going to get a good watercolor brush so I can show washes.

This is a great golden brown. I love it.

Super review as always...yummy is indeed the word for this one.

"baby KWZIs"...I chuckled out loud at that!

I think I may need to ink up my sample of this one quite soon. Looks amazing. Rich. It's almost as if you could smell and taste the aromas of a great capuccino!

Oo, the Capuccino is tantalizing! Lovely review. Poland Pen Show is next month... I'll have to make a list after checking out more reviews of KWZI. #1 (already) Capuccino. Thanks!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
